Rock climbing in Yorkshire

 

Looking for some rock climbing in Yorkshire? We provide half days and full days Rock Climbing in the beautiful ‘God’s country’

Even if you are new to the sport we cater for everyone. From total novices to people who are experienced we tailor the days for you.

Rock climbing in Yorkshire is a great activity for families to get involved with. It also makes a good activity for Stag and hen groups to try also. See here for more ideas for what to do. What to wear:

Comfortable appropriate outdoor clothing. So pair of joggers/track suit bottoms is fine.

Warm clothing in case it’s cold.

Rain jacket/waterproof.

Gloves – again if cold. Keep hands warm in between climbs.

A pair of hiking boots or stiffened soled shoes. So if your shoes have a lot of flex in them, then the harder the climb will feel!

We can provide climbing shoes, but find more often than not if this is you’re first time, then boots are the best option. Specialist climbing shoes take some time to get to grips with and work out. Therefore we usually provide these to people who may have climbed a few times and have greater confidence in their feet

Bouldering:

Some of the best bouldering in the country is in Yorkshire. We provide bouldering coaching, and days out for those wanting to either begin their bouldering journey or have started and wanting to get better technique and maybe look at a training plan for a specific type of bouldering. Itinerary:

AM or PM session:

Meet at 09:45 or 13:00 – (Times can be altered to suit)

Meet and greet, sort equipment and head into the crag – rock.

Climbing session. Lasts approximately 2/2.5 hours.

Pack up and return to car park. 13:00/13:30 / 16:00/16:30

Equipment:

Rock n Ridge provides all relevant safety equipment. So harness, helmet, ropes and rigging equipment. See what to wear below for the day. Likewise you will need your personal kit, any medication if applicable, and food and drink for the day. Depending on where we go, a café may be an option. An example would be Brimham Rocks café.

To simply book a place either call us or click here to send a booking request: Booking Once we have sorted a date together you will just need to pay a £50 deposit or if the course is a month or less away full payment will be due.
